V2500, CFM56 & JT8D Engines and APUs

V2500, CFM56 & JT8D Engines and APUs

At NEDAVION, V2500, CFM56 & JT8D Engines and APUs activities are executed as asset-based engineering programs, not brokerage transactions. Our core focus is the procurement, acquisition, inspection, valuation, removal, storage, and disposition of aircraft engines and APUs supporting A320, B737, and MD-80 fleets. All engines and APUs handled originate from NEDAVION-owned aircraft, controlled teardown programs, or structured asset acquisitions, ensuring real availability, documentation continuity, and technical accountability.

NEDAVION routinely manages engine types including V2500-A1, CFM56-3 / CFM56-5 series, and JT8D-217A / JT8D-219, covering both active operational support and end-of-life asset recovery strategies. Powerplant assets are evaluated conservatively using borescope inspections, LLP life assessment, utilisation analysis, configuration review, and historical record verification, allowing realistic valuation and defensible transaction positioning.

Associated aircraft APUs are managed with equal technical discipline. For the MD-80 platform, NEDAVION routinely handles the GTCP85-98D APU, including removal, preservation, storage, and asset disposition. For A320 fleets, APU activity includes Honeywell 131-9 / 131-9A / 131-9B units, while APS2000 and APS3200 series APUs are managed where applicable across narrowbody platforms. APU condition, configuration, and documentation continuity are assessed conservatively to support predictable downstream acceptance.

Engines and APUs are removed under managed conditions, supported by BSI at removal where applicable, correct preservation procedures, and handling on approved engine stands to protect interfaces and asset integrity. Powerplant logistics, storage, and transport are coordinated internally to maintain environmental protection, regulatory compliance, and inspection sequencing throughout the asset lifecycle.

Powerplant activities are integrated directly with aircraft procurement, teardown engineering, engine inspections, LLP valuation, and parts distribution planning, allowing asset owners and counterparties to evaluate multiple value strategies from a single engine or aircraft position. This integrated approach supports return-to-service decisions, part-out strategies, exchange positioning, or structured asset holding.

This page also presents selected engine and APU assets previously owned, managed, or transacted by NEDAVION, demonstrating real execution capability rather than theoretical listings. Each asset reflects controlled handling, documentation review, and technical accountability throughout its lifecycle.

By combining conservative engineering assessment, disciplined asset control, and long-term execution experience, NEDAVION provides dependable lifecycle management for V2500, CFM56, and JT8D engines and aircraft APUs, including the GTCP85-98D APU for MD-80 fleets.
